Winter Quarter 2011 + Catching up

I haven't posted in this blog for a while... so my bad! I mean there isn't much going on, nor not much worth mentioning since I'm only at a Community College at the moment. Hmmm since my last post I guess I could mention a few things.

1. College Admissions: Last year when I applied, I was talking about how I was pretty sure I wouldn't get in to any college...and I was right. I think it was because I applied blindly and didn't really look to see if I completed every single requirement that I completed. I'm happy to say that 4 months ago during November 2011 I applied again, and this time to 5 different UCs. My goal remains the same that I want to go to a UC when I transfer into my 4-year university -- but my choices have expanded. I applid to UCSD, UCI, UCD, UCSB (For better chances though I won't go here unless it's the only place I get accepted to), and UCR (Ultimate fallback option). I'm still applying as International Studies because this major is THE SHIT! Also, my GPA after the Fall 2011 quarter was 3.30ish so I think I stand a pretty good chance. I've almost completed my 6-quarter language requirement and I'll have it all done by the end of Spring 2012.

2. I've decided to try and Study Abroad in none other than the country whose language I'm learning (JAPAN). I found a perfect program called Global & International Studies, Meiji Gakuin Univ. it fits with my major, and I am really excited to get into this. I did some research already but there's still so much to look up!

3. Classes and Grades in general have always been on the incline!! My GPA has been steadily increasing and is still doing it even now! My first quarter at Foothill, my GPA was about 2.8... I got stuck with the bad classes but it's all good. I've raised it to 3.30 like i said before and it will be even higher than that!!! except since UC applications were already submitted and updated, we won't be reporting the grades that we get during winter and spring quarter.

Anyways. All in all, class is going well. I've also been meeting a lot of new people. OHHH bEFORE I FORGET! I also started tutoring in Statistics which I took last spring (AND GOT AN A IN) This quarter makes it the second quarter that I'm tutoring Statistics and I'm tutoring 2 people during this quarter.
